We, the undersigned, stand in firm condemnation of all systems and ideologies that seek to diminish the worth of a human being. We explicitly reject:
War and Violence: The destruction of life and the displacement of families are the ultimate violations of human rights. Peace is not merely the absence of conflict, but the presence of justice.
Racism and Xenophobia: No person should be judged, excluded, or harmed based on their ancestry, skin color, or national origin.
Sexism and Misogyny: True equality requires the total dismantling of barriers that limit the potential and safety of women and non-binary individuals.
Homophobia and Transphobia: Love, identity, and bodily autonomy are fundamental. Every individual has the right to live authentically without fear of discrimination or violence based on their sexual orientation or gender identity.
Commitments to Basic Humanity
To truly eliminate marginalization, we must also recognize and advocate for these essential pillars of a just society:
The right to right to life, liberty, and security: the most basic right—to live safely and not be deprived of your life or freedom without cause.
No human should suffer the indignity of extreme poverty. Access to clean water, nutritious food, medical care and safe housing is a fundamental right, not a privilege for the few.
No person should be subjected to cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment, nor should they be held in servitude.
The right to hold your own beliefs and practice (or not practice) any religion.
Everyone is entitled to a fair trial, the presumption of innocence, and equal protection under the law without discrimination.
The right to privacy, and protection against arbitrary interference with your home, family, and personal correspondence.
Freedom from ableism and the societal structures that exclude those with physical or cognitive differences. A society is only truly free when it is accessible to all.
The right to life includes the right to a healthy, livable planet. We recognize that environmental degradation disproportionately harms marginalized communities.
Knowledge is a tool for liberation, and all people have the right to education and information that empowers them to participate fully in society.
And finally, we commit ourselves to the ongoing work of empathy, advocacy, and the protection of our global family, each and every individual, all over the world.
